Sharon Gordon
Founder of Sanctuary Yoga & Wellness | Certified Yoga Therapist | Ayurvedic Health Counselor | Himalayan Institute-Trained Yoga Teacher
I created Sanctuary because I believe we’re standing at a crossroads in wellness and something deeper is being called forward.
As a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with years in outpatient care, I saw the limits of systems that treat symptoms but not the whole person. And in my own life, as a mother moving through deep personal loss, burnout, and emotional unraveling, I learned that healing doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from reclaiming what we’ve neglected: rest, rhythm, presence, and nervous system support.
This is the piece so many of us are missing.
We’ve been taught to push, perform, and stay strong, but strength needs softness.
Push needs pause.
Resilience needs restoration.
Sanctuary is built on that truth.
Here, we blend yoga, Ayurveda, and modern nervous system science into steady, consistent practices that create real, lasting change—not just temporary relief or surface-level results.
Whether you're already training hard, eating well, tracking your sleep—and still not feeling like yourself. Or you’re overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure where to begin. This work meets you where you are and supports you in returning to balance.
I’m a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and a guide for those ready to stop chasing the next thing and start reconnecting with what truly heals.
Sanctuary is part of that shift and I’d be honored to walk with you.
Michelle Blanchette
Kripalu-Trained Yoga Teacher | Founder of 4 the REST of US | Reiki Master & Energy Healing Practitioner
Michelle was first introduced to yoga in 2001 at a hot yoga studio in Los Angeles and has been a devoted student ever since. As her practice evolved—especially through the discovery of Vinyasa—she came to understand that mindful movement and breathwork enhanced every area of her life, from athletic pursuits like swimming and biking to her work as an entrepreneur, mentor, and friend.
In 2013, Michelle completed her 200-hour RYT through the Kripalu School of Yoga, deepening her practice and stepping into her role as a teacher. In 2015, she founded 4 the REST of US, an integrative wellness offering that brings together her passions for stress relief, nervous system regulation, and energy healing. Her work weaves yoga, breathwork, meditation, Reiki, sound healing, and essential oil education into practices that support the whole person.
Michelle’s teaching is grounded in compassion, presence, and a deep trust in the body’s innate wisdom. She creates spaces where students can slow down, release tension, and reconnect with themselves—physically, emotionally, and energetically. Drawing from a wide range of traditions, her classes always return to one core intention: to help others find alignment, clarity, and lasting peace.
Aimee DeRoehn
Baptiste-Trained Yoga Teacher | Master Reiki Healer | Trauma-Informed Practitioner
With over 20 years of teaching experience, Aimee brings passion, depth, and authenticity to every class she leads. A longtime Vinyasa flow teacher, Master Reiki Healer, and trauma-informed guide, Aimee creates accessible, empowering spaces for students to move, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
Though her path to yoga wasn’t linear—having once believed fitness wasn’t for her—Aimee’s personal journey through grief, trauma, and burnout led her to the mat. What began as a way to manage anxiety became a daily practice of healing, self-inquiry, and strength from the inside out.
Her teaching is rooted in lived experience and deep study, with training from Baron Baptiste, Seane Corn, Phoenix Rising, and Claire Este McDonald. Known for her energy, encouragement, and heart-centered presence, Aimee is committed to helping students feel supported, inspired, and at home in their bodies.
When she’s not teaching, Aimee finds joy in time with her family and grandchildren—returning again and again to the simple moments that bring the most meaning.
